Folkloric dance honors the cultural roots, resilience, and lived experiences of farmworker communities in the Skagit Valley,  These dances reflect traditions passed down through generations-stories of labor, family, celebration, and resistance. They also remind us of the legacy of Cesar Chavez, whose work organizing farmworkers, brought national attention to dignity, fair treatment, and social justice for those who harvest our food. Through music, movement, and history, folkloric dance keeps this past alive while inspiring continued respect and solidarity today.
